What is the difference between a straight flow vibrating screen and rotary vibrating screen?  

1, Different working principles

Straight flow vibrating screen: generally equipped with one to two horizontal vibrating motors, divided into single vibration source and double vibration source. The single vibration source mainly produces up and down vibration when acting on the material, and does not have automatic discharge function. The double vibration source can generate vortex motion on the screen surface and has automatic discharge function. It uses the vibrating motor as the excitation source, and under the drive of the motor, the material moves elliptical on the screen frame, quickly and reciprocating to achieve the material passing through the screen.

Ordinary rotary vibrating screen: Assemble a vertical vibrating motor, use the vertical vibrating motor as the excitation source, and under the drive of the motor, the material moves horizontally, vertically, and obliquely in three dimensions on the screen frame. The screening purpose is achieved by passing through different mesh sizes of screens, with the function of automatic screening and discharging.

2, Different screening materials

Direct row vibrating screen: often used to screen flour and starch materials, such as protein powder, mung bean starch, cassava starch, sweet potato starch, sweet potato starch, potato starch, wheat starch, water chestnut starch, lotus root starch, and corn starch, but rarely used to screen slurry materials.

Ordinary rotary vibrating screen: Ordinary rotary vibrating screen can basically screen materials, and can also filter and remove impurities from liquid materials.

3, Different screening requirements

Compared with ordinary rotary vibrating screens, the straight vibrating screen has certain requirements for the screening pass rate of materials, and can only screen materials that can pass 90% of the screen. If the network pass rate does not reach 90%, it cannot be used. In addition, ordinary rotary vibrating screens can be installed with 5 layers of screen mesh, which can be used for material classification and impurity removal of different specifications, while straight row vibrating screens can only be installed with one layer of screen mesh.

4, Different screening yields

When screening the same material, the straight vibrating screen and the ordinary rotary vibrating screen have a faster discharge speed than the rotary vibrating screen. This is because its discharge port is an open design, and the fine discharge port will not block the material. The output is also slightly larger than the rotary vibrating screen, usually about three times.
